The Light of Christ Council is
headquartered at St. Ignatius Loyola Church in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania.
The Council was chartered in June 1984
and will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary during the current
fraternal year. Council 8726 has been designated as a
“Star Council” in four of the last six years. This designation is in
recognition of the council’s successful membership recruiting efforts,
extensive charitable activities, and insurance sales achievements. Only about
10% of all councils throughout the world achieve Star Council status. Council meetings are held on the 2nd
and the 4th Mondays of each month at 7:30pm. The majority of the
meetings are held in the meeting rooms at the Parish Education Center on St.
Alban’s Drive. Consult the calendar of events for special locations or
scheduling changes. Council meetings are restricted to members only. The Knights of Columbus is the world’s
largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.7 million
members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities
in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families, and young
people. The Knights of Columbus was established
over 125 years ago by Father Michael J. McGivney, in New Haven, CT. The
Order’s international headquarters is still located in New Haven today. This Page last
